Accentuate the Negative!

Well, I've read your silly blog and, quite frankly, I don't think any of those ideas will work with my class. In any case, they seem to actively encourage students to role play with real emotions such as pride, anger, jealousy, annoyance and bad temper. I don't think that's very appropriate.

OK then, bye bye.

If, on the other hand, you think your students are first and foremost human, and that it might do them good to forget for a few minutes that they're students, and try using the language for a realistic purpose, you're in the right place. The practice tasks here are all original and designed to get learners practising in a way they'll remember. Some are tried and tested and some, admittedly, are new. Give them a whirl, and why not feedback how you got on!
